This is it! This is the only album Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder made together as Rising Sons, and it was ground breaking. It is still a water mark for blues.
Taj Mahal and Ry Cooder were a good fit together for making spectacular, undated music. This version of Skip James, The Devil’s Got My Woman, was on their only album, “Rising Sons”, released in 1992 and re-issued in 2006.
The songs were recorded in 1965-1966 except for a few re-recorded by Taj Mahal in 1992. Enjoy!
